This clip is from my dissertation work, Coping Mechanisms premiered in 2017 at UC San Diego’s CPMC Black Box Theater. Featuring the ensemble from Rhymes With Opera, as well as talented musicians Judith Hamann, Kjell Nordeson, and Tommy Babin in the orchestra, this opera blends structured improvisation with operatic performance for a truly unnerving effect.
