rHymes With Opera
For over ten years, Rhymes With Opera has premiered new chamber opera on the DIY stages of New York City. Originally founded in Baltimore by Peabody Institute colleagues Ruby Fulton and George Lam with ensemble members Robert Maril, Bonnie Lander, and Elisabeth Halliday-Quan in 2007, RWO is now in its 12th year of programming premiers. Located in Charles Village, Baltimore, 2640 Space has been providing event space for social justice and grassroots culture for over ten years. Originally founded as a collaborative partnership between Red Emma’s and St. John’s United Methodist, the 2640 Collective currently hosts a wide range of public and private events: from job fairs, craft fairs, concerts, theatrical productions, banquets, and weddings.
